Path: Year One
Uconjoint and path courses
Unconjoint
courses are surveys of molecular cell biology, covering
nuclear structure function, genetics, cell movement,
matrix, signaling, and membrane biology
Rotations
Path
courses cover the same areas as medical school but with additional
sessions devoted to basic mechanisms of disease.
Rotations
are the most important part of the first year. Students spend 1/3 of the year in
three different labs chosen for both the breadth
of exposure and as an introduction to potential mentors.
