Mignonette. Bedrooms. September 24th , 2017.
Geometric latticework, dramatic lighting, and understated decor all transform this otherwise industrial bedroom into a sophisticated retreat. Intricate boiserie and delicate wrought iron details make this bedroom look lighter than air. The indoor house plants help bring the outdoors in.
Let’s start with something dramatic! Sunken beds require some pretty serious architectural alterations but the end result is so dreamy. The pup would love how easy it is to crawl into bed for morning snuggles. In bedrooms that feature large format artwork, a low bed stays out of the way. But this one still makes a subtle but tasteful impression with the luxurious layering of dark wood and plush fabric.
This room makes use of light wooden slats with an interwoven pattern. This achieved by a lighter pattern, so that the darker wood and pattern stands out. In this room the slats adorn only the top half of the wall, a contrast to the pristine white walls. These particular slats match the base of the bed, and taper down to meet panels made of the same wood. A framed picture complements the entire look.
Wood and concrete again make a fabulous pairing in this handsome bedroom inspired by industrial decor. An oversized pendant and plush leather headboard introduce a hint of luxury to the composition. Concrete changes character depending on its material complements. The smooth texture and lightness of these wood details contribute to a purely contemporary look that strays from the roughness of the previous industrial themes.
