A thin stencil creates a four poster harking back to Japanese-style, futon dreaming. A little thicker but still to the floor, this king poster bed relaxes a room of minimal features. A higher frame hangs geometric Chinese lanterns and a smaller, fabric-made bed. Using distressed materials adds an industrial feel, exacerbated as steel hover lamps peek through the sides of the frame.
With backdrop like this, a straightforward interior is the only way to go – the furniture is comfortable and stylish without upstaging the beautiful view outdoors. This interior also takes a simple approach, using natural motifs to match the verdant balcony with its hanging planters and potted trees.
While concrete may not be the first thought that comes to mind for a traditionally warm and cozy bedroom environment, this material is far more aesthetically flexible than many would imagine. And the 30 bedrooms highlighted in this post are a great example! Ranging from minimalist to industrial, ultra-modern to eclectic, each of these bedrooms express a completely different personality through concrete. Have you been thinking about adding a bedroom accent wall or renovating for a more modern look? Check out these images for unique finishes and configurations to pull of the look.
